pikachu Pikachu is his start Pokemon and literally as of ever his best friend. They have been through so much together and there's really not enough space for Red to dump all his appreciation and gratitude. Though they had a rough start in the beginning of their journey back in Kanto, it really made their bond stronger once things resolved. Of course, Pikachu still has his moments once in a while, but it isn't anything Red cannot handle. Pikachu really does know Red the best probably, knows what to do, and also can easily interpret his awkward. Likewise, Red can understand Pikachu well enough without direct translation! But yeah, they're basically best friends forever. ◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆ ; RANK 10

blue oak Blue is his bully childhood friend that is still somehow technically his friend. Doesn't look like time has been kind to his ego either... He really doesn't know how to handle him which is probably mutual in this frienship. Truth be told, he cares about him! I mean, Blue does some pretty stupid things though Red does... Stupid things, too, but that isn't the point. Red easily loses his cool around Blue because, unlike most people, Blue is a douchebag and knows too much in the first place. As I already said, they are still friends till the end. HE IS LIKE THE YIN TO HIS YANG. I really don't know how to explain how they work, please don't make me. ?????????? ; RANK ???

ethan Ethan was the one that defeated him on Mt. Silver, so basically the young Pokemon got major respect from Red (aka an extra rank). Red sometimes gets nervous around him because of how much Ethan kind of fawns over him for being the missing Champion (it's awkward). He's a nice visitor either way and Red doesn't mind him at all. Ethan is... Really a handful though and doesn't exactly have that much common sense. And if Red is the one seriously thinking that, we have to wonder how bad it could possibly be. lyra Since Red is from Ethan's route, he doesn't exactly remember Lyra as Champion or anything. He only recognizes her by description from Ethan... Or when she visits with Ethan, I have no idea.
